Queens Hall Finance Minister organises Financial Summit themed Skill up

On Wednesday, 1st October, 2025, a Finance summit themed "Building Financial Freedom with Business and Tech" organized by Adeyemi Jesunifemi, Financial Minister, Queen Elizabeth II Hall was held at JCR in the Queen Elizabeth II Hall.

The programme which started at exactly 11am, began with a networking session and according to the Host, Dunmade Oluwatamilore, the networking session is an opportunity to promote brands for business owners and those who would like to start up a business.

After the networking session, the first speaker, Okeoluwa Anuoluwa, CEO of Beauty Cognoscente delivered a speech on building financial freedom through business, starting with a background story on her business journey, providing tips on starting a business and also recommending books to read like Richest man in Babylon, Psychology of Money.

The next speaker, Dahunsi Fehintoluwa, a Technical Project Manager, Andela, spoke on Tech focusing on three major things: Learning a skill, Skill stacking and Structure. He also provided Learning Resources for Tech like Udemy, Coursera, Data Camp, YouTube. In his words, " it's not about the skill, but about problem Solving".

He provided some of the challenges faced in Tech and possible solutions, ways to make money.

After each Session, Questions were by the students to the speakers and Mr Dahunsi made a statement, "if you must succeed in Life, you must read; you must fall in Love with boring things."

The programme ended with a vote of thanks by the Convener, Adeyemi Jesunifemi, Financial Minister, Queen Elizabeth II Hall.

Also, awards were given to the people. Those who networked the most, the first person to arrive, who was given a sum of Five thousand Naira and other awards were given to some business owners.
