UI’SU POSTPONES CONGRESS DUE TO FAILURE TO REACH QUORUM

At 12:30pm today, the 17th of May, 2025, the student union president, Odedele Covenant, in company of the PRO, Adekanbi Ezekiel, the general secretary, Olowu Daniel and the SRC speaker, Shoge Quadri, postponed the congress supposed to hold today due to low turnout of students. 


It was reported that only about 200 students out of the expected 500 students were present for the congress. 

He said “We’ve tried our best to mobilize students from different halls, we have asked leaders from multiple constituencies.”


He further stated that a date will be chosen in due time and assured that the next will be properly organized.
