MBBS and IPE Equalize at Seals cup Opener

The Old SUB pitch hosted the 2025 SEALS Cup tournament opener. 270 days after their last encounter, MBBS and IPE met again. The teams played a 2-2 draw.

The match started at 5:42 pm with MBBS dominating early. IPE scored first with a header from VK in the 11th minute off a corner kick. The first half ended 1-0 in favor of IPE.

In the second half, both teams created chances. MBBS equalized in the 19th minute with a free kick from Dave. IPE regained the lead after a defensive error from MBBS but MBBS equalized again after IPE’s goalkeeper, Dunsin, missed the ball. The result means both teams have played back-to-back draws. IPE’s failure to capitalize on scoring chances cost them the win.

The SEALS Cup continues on Thursday, May 22, 2025, with Biochemistry vs Arts and Social Science Education.
