University Health Service (UHS) Eye Clinic Releases Notice on Payment Operation

On the 21st of March, 2025, the University Health Service (UHS), Eye Clinic, University of Ibadan, released an internal memorandum addressing certain issues. In the memorandum, the UHS Eye Clinic expressed its appreciation to the University community for their patronage and stated key observations.

The memorandum which was signed by the Director, Dr. Aderonke, stated that a variety of frames, lenses, fashion glasses, purses, napkins, ropes and other optical consumables are available at the UHS Eye Clinic. It was also stated that NHIS beneficiaries can enjoy authorized services on NHIS tariffs.

The memorandum also addressed the issue relating to private patronage or payment instructing that all services procured from the UHS Eye Clinic must be paid at UHS pay point. As stated in the letter, there will be disciplinary action for payment made to private purses or account for the services acquired from the University.

The UHS in the memorandum emphasized the importance of a healthy living stating the need,

“to encourage the practice of healthy living as a gift to our future selves”.
