Queen Elizabeth II Hall Holds Sports/Yoga Day As Part of Hall Week Events

As part of its Hall Week events, Queen Elizabeth II Hall held a sports and yoga day on March 1, 2025. The event began with a yoga session led by instructor Ijebor Nosa, an alumnus of the hall, in collaboration with the Socials Minister.
The yoga session was followed by an inter-house competition, which kicked off with a football match between Team Campus Cares and Team Luxury Clean. Team Luxury Clean emerged the winner, winning 4-0. The event also comprised other fun activities, including races, tug of war, and a blindfolded search.
The event was attended by dignitaries, including the SU President, the newly elected SU President, and the SU Sports Director. Sponsors, including Campus Cares Team, Luxury Clean, and Chivita, supported the event.
Medals were presented to the winners by the Chairman of the UI Sports Committee, Mr. Ayobami. The overall winner of the competition was Green House, the goalkeeper of the year and the most supportive players were also awarded.
During the event, the hall’s new football jersey was launched, with executive members wearing the jerseys during the occasion. The event ended with Queenites expressing their enjoyment and satisfaction about the event.
