QUEEN ELIZABETH II HALL PRESS ORGANIZATION INAUGURATES NEW EDITORIAL BOARD
On Friday 28th February 2025, Queen Elizabeth II hall press inaugurated a new editorial board with Oludare Olufunmilola as the new Editor-in-chief. The outgone Editor-in-chief, Simisólá Afolabi encouraged the new editorial board to be dedicated and work towards improving the press for the better.
The outgone editor in chief reflected on her journey as a Pressman since her fresher days and what she expects of the new board members as she leaves UI. She expressed her hope to hear better news about the organization and she advised them to represent the press organization well at the union level and contribute actively to the growth of the Union Press. In her words “ Anything that is worth doing, is worth doing well”.
Following her remarks, The Hall Chairperson gave a speech and mentioned how well the outgone board members did in consistently publishing articles and providing information to residents of Queen Elizabeth II hall on happenings in UI. She then presented certificates of participation to members of the press organization alongside the outgone Editor-in-chief.

General Secretary - Olawoore Islamiyyah
Financial Secretary - Jumoke Kareem

Health – Omodele Goodness
Creative - Arikanki Loveth
Politics- Osuolale Tomilayo
Satire – Oludare Olufunmilola
Feature – Sanni Juliet
Opinion – Sanni Juliet
Entertainment – Osuolale Olutomilayo
The handover ended with closing remarks from the new Editor-in-Chief, Oludare Olufunmilola and Deputy Editor-In-Chief, Sumonu Halimah. They appreciated the role bestowed upon them to serve as leaders and promised to do their best to make the organization thrive.
