QUEEN ELIZABETH II HALL HOLDS INUAGURATION/HANDOVER CEREMONY
The Executive Team new dawn, led by Mojoyinoluwa Agbonde, handed over as executives of the Queen Elizabeth II Hall to the newly elected executives for the 2024/2025 session. The Hall Representative Council also inaugurated its first set of council members.
The Handover ceremony was held at the Junior Common Room, Queen Elizabeth II Hall. In attendance were the Hall Mistress, Prof. Omolade Oladele, the Hall Warden, Dr. Abiola Omokhabi,, Assistant Hall Wardens, Dr. Folusho, Dr. Adewunmi, Dr. Omolola Kayode-Olawoyin and Hall Supervisors Mr. Olaniyan and Mrs. Nnaji.
The Hall Mistress urged the new executives to be accountable leaders and be the bridge between the hall management and Queenites. She encouraged them to be good ambassadors of the hall and the University of Ibadan.
The outgoing executives gave a report of the achievements and challenges faced while in office. They also provided different suggestions to the new executives for a smooth administration.
The handover ceremony witnessed the swearing-in of the first set of Queen Elizabeth II Hall Representative Council members. This council will serve as the legislative arm of the Hall.
The Hall management enjoined the QHRC members to be good pace setters, being the first of its kind and to not work against the management or the executives.
The Hall Chairperson’s Roll of Honour was unveiled at the Hall entrance after the inauguration ceremony. The roll of honour includes the names of Queenites that exhibited outstanding skills during the session in different categories, the committee members, friends of the hall, and the Alumni Verse.
The names of the new executives are:
Hall Chairperson- Anifowose Nofisat Oyindamola.
Vice Hall Chairperson- Bankole Margret
Hall Secretary- Onize Victoria
Finance Minister- Adeyemi Jesunifemi Deborah
Health Minister- Fatunmbi Oluwaseun
Sports Minister- Esther Ojada
Public Relations Officer- Akintunde Blessing.
