University of Ibadan Holds its 5th TEDxUI Event themed 'Momentum

On the 11th of January, 2024, the University of Ibadan partnered with TEDx, TEDXUI, to host its events, themed Momentum, at KAAF Auditorium, Department of Human Nutrition, University of Ibadan. 

The event was hosted by Miss Wuraola Olagoke. In attendance were the keynote speakers and the attendees. The Licensee, Hikmat Opeyemi, during her opening address, said that TEDXUI would mark the 5th edition of TEDXUI in the University of Ibadan. 



Giving the first Ted talk was Mr Nnana Alu, the Cofounder of OfficeAjo Tech Limited who spoke on "setting the stage for networking success." He emphasized using networking as a paramount in the success of one’s life saying, “your network is more than a connection, it is a legacy in the making.”

The second speaker, Omodeni Jumoke Mujidat, gave a speech on “Giving back to Mother Earth”. She pointed out that, Just as Mother Earth is giving to mankind, we should also give back to Mother Earth using the Principle of Reciprocity.


The President and Cofounder of Koolboxs, Ayoola Dominic, gave an overview on Koolboxs and refrigeration. He highlighted how wastage of food can be minimized with Koolboxs, "We should make use of our technology to solve big problems around us.”

Thereafter, there was a quick tea and breakout session with a performance from The Pneuma.

Following that, the TED talk continued, with notable speakers like, Mr Bright Sekoni, Mr Michael Adelakun, speakers from Chess in Slum, Mr Monsur Olaniran, Mr Wadud, Mr Balogun Danjuma, Mrs Rhoda Robinson, Mr Precious Ibeh, and a performance from Orolabi Productions.
