University of Ibadan Declares Public Holidays for Christmas, Boxing Day, and New Year

The University of Ibadan has declared public holidays, for Christmas, Boxing Day, and New Year celebrations, aligning with the federal government directives.

The holidays are scheduled for Wednesday, 25th December 2024, and Thursday, 26th December 2024, for Christmas and Boxing Day, with work resuming on Friday, 27th December 2024. Additionally, Wednesday, 1st January 2025, will be a public holiday for the New Year celebrations, with work resuming on Thursday, 2nd January 2025.

This announcement was made by G.O. Saliu, the Registrar and Secretary to the University Council, on the 23rd of December 2024. 

Staff on essential duties are expected to discharge their responsibilities according to the announcement.
