It is the most wonderful time of the year. A time when you get to spend quality time with your family and loved ones, the moment when the atmosphere is clouded with the aroma of Jollof Rice and Chicken, the well-known delicacies eaten by all during this festive period. On the flip side, it is also a time when blockbuster movies are flooding the cinemas, eagerly waiting at the doors of the cinema house to welcome you.
December is yet another month when movie producers release their long-awaited projects in the cinemas. It is a period that aligns with the central idea of the season which is the Christmas celebration and holiday. With this holiday right around the corner, people use this opportunity to bond and enjoy the moment together. A better way to do this is to go to a Cinema house, watch a very nice movie with your loved ones, snack on your popcorn and share your views with others who also love such gatherings. There is a feeling that comes with being in the cinema and expressing your thoughts with others. The time for that is here and it is now.
For the past 3-5 months, movie producers have been flooding our screens with content for their upcoming movies. Some producers have made this holiday special by releasing movies in this festive period. It is not news that December comes with a lot of unboxing. The PR (Public Relations) team has been working tirelessly to get the media's attention. Contents are being uploaded on their social media pages, each with merchandise, theme songs and brand colours peculiar to the movies they are publicising.

More Than Just the Film
In this era of globalisation and civilisation, film producers are harnessing social media to improve the visibility of their projects. Another title that should be added to movie producers is that they are marketers. Having to curate enticing and appealing content to capture the attention of the audience, towards an objective, is what has been inculcated in their works.
Producing movies goes beyond just releasing them and organising their premiere. It now has to do with strong effective content creation, working with social media influencers, creating merchandise and even making music videos. The movie industry is evolving with new ways of capturing the attention of its audience.
