JAW WAR, RISE OF LEGENDS, HOLDS ITS INTERFACULTY DEBATE.

On the 28th, November, 2024, the Faculty round of Jaw war took place at the new Faculty Lecture Theater, Faculty of Technology. 


With the commencement of the event at exactly 6:00 pm, The Faculty of Public Health, which was formerly to debate against the Faculty of Clinical sciences, opened the event. Prior to the event, Alexander Brown Hall, Faculties of Clinical Sciences and Dentistry withdrew from competition, hence their absence. 


The absence of these faculties resulted in the Faculty of Public Health and Faculty of Nursing, a first time participant, in their lone performance without an opponent. This also led to the victory of the aforementioned Faculties in this category.






At the end of the event, Favour Ola-Stephen, a speaker from the Faculty of the Social Sciences emerged as the best speaker of the day with her faculty recording the highest score of 83.8% for their outstanding performance. 


The faculties that emerged victorious and qualified for the next round included Public Health, Arts, Nursing, Law, Social sciences, Agriculture, Technology and Renewable Natural Resources with the following scores respectively; 76%, 82.6%, 75.25%, 76.5%, 83.8%, 79.8%, 78.1%, 73%. 

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine emerged as the best loser making them qualify for the second roun of the debate competition..
