On Wednesday, May 1st, Queen Elizabeth II Hall organized its Health Day at the Hall’s cafeteria, with over 70 Queenites in attendance. The event was hosted by Health Minister Adegoroye Funmilayo.

The program commenced with an opening address by the Health Minister, followed by MC Abiola Salawu facilitating the proceedings. Durojaye Mafolayomi, former Health Minister of Queens Hall, led the opening prayer and was invited to join the high table by the MC.

The first raffle draw of the Health Day selected a Queenite named Winner, a student of Communication and Language Arts, chosen randomly by the former Health Minister.

Dr. Adeleke, representing Dr. Jimoh Mutiu, delivered an enlightening speech on "Cervical Cancer: Causes and Misconceptions," emphasizing its preventable nature and common misunderstandings.

After the speech, the second raffle draw was held, with a Queenite named Tobiloba emerging as the winner.

Dr. Akinwale Margaret led the subsequent session on "Preconception Care: Building a Foundation," highlighting the importance of proper care before conception and addressing potential concerns such as anxiety-induced hormonal imbalances.

Following the session, questions were entertained, and the Health Minister delivered a speech. Mr. Abu Samuel, an HIV specialist, provided additional insights related to the earlier speeches.

The final raffle draw concluded the day's activities, with Adewunmi, a Queenite and 300-level Special Education student, declared the winner.

Concluding the event, the former Health Minister delivered an appreciation speech, and Adewunmi, the winner of the last raffle draw, offered the closing prayer. Subsequently, a medical outreach program commenced outside the Queens Hall Cafeteria.
