Queen Elizabeth II Hall Hosts Annual Variety Night: "Night of Queens"

Queen Elizabeth II Hall hosted its annual Variety Night themed "Night of Queens" on Thursday, May 2nd, 2024. The event, organized by the Social Director's office, took place within the hall's premises and drew a crowd of over 200 attendees, including both Queenites and guests.

Starting at 4:41 pm, the night offered a mix of entertainment, featuring interactive games with the audience, as well as performances by talents like "Chocomilo" and "Sharon," and the highly anticipated Miss Queens pageantry, which was a highlight of the event.

Among the notable guests were Hall Warden Dr. Abiola Omokhabi, Assistant Hall Wardens Dr. Alero Adegbolagun and Dr. Foluso Bolaji-Alabi, as well as Miss Ibadan 2023, Mr. Mellanby 2023, incoming Student Union President Aweda Bolaji, outgoing President of the Faculty of Social Sciences Olumi, and outgoing Miss Queens Ayinde Mary.

The Miss Queens pageant showcased contestants participating in various activities, including group dances, cultural displays, talent exhibitions, and elegant evening wear showcases.

Wrapping up at 7:47 pm, the event reached its peak with the announcement of the winners: Miss Charismatic, Miss Photogenic, and Miss Amity, claimed by contestants 4, 5, and 1 respectively.
