Queen Elizabeth II Hall Announces Election Results Amidst Mixed Reactions: Mojoyin Emerges as Hall Chairperson-Elect

The election scheduled to be held today, 24th of April, 2024, commenced at about 9:30 AM with a handful of Queenites coming to the Junior Common Room to vote. At about 1:30 PM, more people came to vote. This year, there was a higher number of Queenites who came to vote compared to last year.

The voting exercise ended at exactly 3:00 with close to 550 accredited Queenites who came to exercise their franchise. Then, the counting of votes commenced a few minutes after the voting exercise however, the counting took about 3 hours. At about 7 pm this evening, the electoral commission announced the election results. Below is the breakdown of the election results.


While the other candidates ran unopposed, Miss Adekunle Iyanuyimika, popularly known as Angel emerged with a total of 289 votes while her opponent Fagbemi Princess pulled 203 votes. Likewise, Onifade Aisha vying for the position of Sport Minister won the election with 289 votes while her opponent Folorunsho Boluwatife pulled 172 votes.

All aspirants who ran unopposed emerged in their respective positions.
