Jagun Jagun is a Nigerian movie produced by Femi Adebayo who is known to have won
many international and national awards as an actor and the movie was released
all around the world on the 10th of August 2023. He is popularly known for his comedic movie Jelili but in the movie he produced
recently, Femi Adebayo showed us another part of himself that most of his fans
are not familiar with, he acted the role of a fanatic warlord.
He
looked so different and acted so different that many people couldn't recognize
him, the movie really hit the world as it is being watched in so many countries
and continents aside Nigeria and Africa.
The
movie was shot for forty-five days and it hit the top ten (10) in eighteen
countries on Netflix, number 4 in the United Kingdom, and number one (1) in Nigerian movies.
The
movie features many top actors and actresses in Nigeria, the likes of the
popular actor Lateef Adedimeji who acted the role of Gbotija in the movie.
While being interviewed he said he had to go through rigorous training in order
to be fit for the role, many people even commented that he looked built in the
movie like someone that did a lot of exercise and weight lifting which he later
confirmed was true and told how he broke his leg while training for the movie
and got discouraged and almost gave up but for the encouragement of people around
him who motivated him that he could do it.
Fathia
Balogun acted the role of Erinfunto the Warlord's wife. While interviewed she
talked about how she firstly turned down the role but for her manager who told
her to take it up. It is actually good the way she took it up many people
commented especially her fans that they no longer see her act in movies like
before while some even went ahead to say maybe old age is catching up on her. Her acting in this trending movie actually brought joy to the faces of her
fans. She acted the role so well and without stress, she was very bold and saw
to the killing of the Warlord (Ogundiji).
She also attested to this in an interview, that her role in the movie actually made her regain her confidence and fame. During the interview, she thanked Femi Adebayo for giving her the opportunity to take up the role.
The
well-known actor, Odunlade Adekola) also acted in the movie, he acted as Jigan
although he acted in only one scene.
Bukunmi Oluwashina who acted the role of Ogundiji's
daughter, her role was really a twist in the plot because it came as a shock to
people when they discovered she was Agemo (the killer in masquerade form) and
not the true daughter of Ogundiji.
The
movie also features Ibrahim Yekini, Adebayo Salami(Femi Adebayo's father) who acted as Oba Alayaki, Muyiwa Ademola who
acted as Oniketo, Debo Adeayo who acted as Moyale , Yinka Quadri and Bimbo
Ademoye
Ibrahim
Chatta made a dramatic appearance in the movie, having some kind of resemblance
to Ogundiji. He acted the last scene
after the death of Ogundiji, some say he is the hidden son of Ogundiji that
people were not aware of; even Ogundiji's wife, while some others say he is
Ogundiji's brother.
He
was so furious about the death of Ogundiji that he shouted his name twice out
of fury and with strong emotion and the movie ended with a suspense as many
people are suggesting that there should be a part 2.
Femi
Adebayo disclosed that there will be a part 2 so people should
anticipate and hopefully, the Identity of Ibrahim Chatta will be disclosed in
part 2.
"Is
Ogundiji really dead? Will that really be his end?" We will get to
discover this in part 2.
