Opolo Event: LinkedIn Local-Oyo at the University of Ibadan.

The LinkedIn Local-Oyo pre-event discussion, themed Bridging the Digital Divide, was held on 26th August 2023, at Opolo Innovation Hub, University of Ibadan, by 11:00 a.m.

The program, sponsored by Opolo Global Innovation,  is a pre-event organized for creatives, tech enthusiasts, developers, and business leaders to network with like-minded people.

 The primary purpose of the event was stated during the opening statement by ‘Galladed’ and Timilehin Faulkner which is making intentional connections. People introduced themselves and an interactive session commenced where Covenant Odedele, a medical student and student on Linkedin, and Miriam Tijani, a  student from aquaculture and fisheries and a copywriter, were speakers while Jennifer Zoe Ebade moderated the interactive session.

Covenant Odedele advised students, “Do something daring before leaving school.” He also stated in the panelist session, "Learn permanent relevant skills."

Topics like technology as a skill, how students can maximize their LinkedIn profiles, the dos and don'ts of LinkedIn, and passion in the times we live were discussed. Conversations, interactions, and connections were the highlight of the event. The event proceeded to play a game after which the program planner in the person of Mr John talked about the main event which is to take place next month.
