Kesari (The King): A movie shaking the world.

Nigeria has been doing well in terms of entertainment, the entertainment industry has been releasing top-notch movies and breaking records. First, it was Jagunjagun which was written by Femi Adebayo, now it is Kesari(The King).

The Yoruba language action film was initially released in 2018 on YouTube in the following order; Kesari 2, Return of Kesari, and Return of Kesari 2.

Ibrahim Yekini, popularly known as Iteletheicon is the producer and director of the movie. He shared his inspiration during an interview in 2018, stating that watching Hollywood's Black Panther inspired him to write and produce Kesari: The King.

The four-part project won Best Movie and Itele won the Best Producer of the Year in the Yoruba category at the 2019 City People Entertainment Awards. Itele also won Best Actor in a Lead Role at the 2019 Best of Nollywood Awards for his role in Return of Kesari.

The movie is centered on the story of a man who was formerly a god and then became a gangster that the law was trying to catch up with.

The movie was released Nationwide on August 25, 2023. The movie is unique because of its traditional historical setting.

It was the first movie to hit 1 million views on YouTube and also the first Nigerian movie to hit 2 million views.

The movie features famous stars like Femi Adebayo, Yvonne Jegede, Ibrahim Lateef, Deyemi Okanlawon, Odunlade Adekola, and Mr. Macaroni.
