Love in Peace or War?
As you read my lips,
I hope you see through my heart
Because words are not easy to utter;
I have been dumped since 03'
My body talks to you;
Hope my words get to you.
My waist shakes to the ṣẹ̀kẹ̀rẹ̀;
That sings the peaceful songs of war.
Here we are again – by the riverside;
About to have the third bath
In a row this morning:
Ọta ìbọn flies in the sky;
And it is as beautiful as the butterfly.
Here we are again - in the rainbow garden;
In the deep of the night,
The outcome is yet unknown:
A painted flag dipped in our blood;
Or the fruit of our love -
A child we are not ready to groom.
