JCIN UI INDUCTS 163 NEW MEMBERS

 

On Sunday 27th, November 2022, Junior Chamber International Nigeria, University of Ibadan inducted one hundred and sixty-three new members. The Induction which was held at the Faculty of Social Sciences Large Lecture Theatre featured the Oratory Contest, General Assembly, and training for the new Jaycees. In attendance were JCIN National President, Senator Olawale Bakare, some national executive members, and members from other chapters. 


The trainer, JCIN Ambassador Adeyanju Adeonipekun explained that JCI is not a platform for the perfect, but an avenue to develop one's self and build mental strength. Speaking on the areas of interest available in the organization - Individual, Community, Business, and International - he admonished the newly inducted Jaycees to leverage these opportunities and enjoy the full benefits.



The Oral contest titled "EDUCATIONAL LEARNING: Does schooling equate learning?" was educating and engrossing. It had seven participants namely Nnanna Solomon Ugochukwu, Majolagbe Yusrah, Oni Barakat Olabisi, Olalusi Susan Ikeoluwaposi, Abdullahi Shuaib, Adebiyi Grace Boluwatife, and Oluga Shammah Mofifoluwa. After a fierce exchange of views, Shammah Oluga was declared the winner, Abdullahi Shuaib was the first runner up, and Adebiyi Grace Boluwatife was the second runner up. 

Awards presented at the event and the recipients include Best inductee- Jessica Salami and Chioma Helen Odonoekuma; Most Promising Inductee- Praise Olayinka; Best dressed male - Praise Olayinka; and Best dressed female- Esther Babaoye; while Obisesan James Oluwatofunmi and Ololade Akinshola won the Most Punctual Inductees.
