Last night, a chilly night

Last night, a chilly night

My first night on geoid crusts.

The subtle changes, i noticed first,

Cozy to walls to sturdy frosts.

The door stood, with watchful eyes,

Admitting all but a waft of breeze,

Which we knew its touch would freez,

Every bit of moisture, oil and grease.

It's been ages we held a cup,

We now wine and dine with boiling kettles.

Our chauffeur almost got charged by the cops,

He wore lots of robes in too fine fettle.

Papa reached for the cloak while he drove,

Anything for warmth and yes, the stove,

Bathe with water, I'll do sand or scald,

I never said that, the whole town is bald.

So last night, when I came to earth,

I threw a party on the river, it’s ice.

The wind sang my name on its cold tongue,

For a bouquet of fire wrapped in ice.
