UI Clinches Third Place Win at OAU BP Final

 The University of Ibadan secured the third position at the Obafemi Awolowo University Tug of Words Tournament, which took place on June 14, 2025. The tournament adhered to the British Parliamentary format and consisted of eight participating universities. 

The final debate centered around the motion "This house would program the robots to hide the existence of past human life on Earth." 

Representing the University of Ibadan were Eriomala John and Sapphire McOlaniyi, who earned the team the third spot, following Obafemi Awolowo University in the first position and the Federal University of Technology Akure in second place.

Eriomala John expressed appreciation for his partner's contributions and extended gratitude to the UI British Parliamentary Debating Society and the Literary and Debating Society for their support.
