AGEGE BREAD AND AKARA

Food is the heart of man, a very crucial and important part of human existence. Most especially nutritional foods in order to maintain a good health condition. Agage bread and akara, one of the most consumed and recognised foods in Nigeria.
Agege bread and akara, a combination of food available to every Nigerian be it rich, working class or a poor person, a meal that's not limited to any culture or religion, young or adult. Agege bread and Akara, name of a meal that rings a bell to the hearing of all my people, creating beautiful memories of the past, mixed with culture, togetherness, and a sense of satisfaction.
The origin of bread can definitely be said to be the as old as the civilisation of man. The discovery was made through the instinct of survival, innovation, and culture itself. The earliest story of bread began when man grinded grains like wheat, then cooked it on stones. The ancient Egyptians were the ones who discovered how to make bread rise, which was not known before.
Akara, on the other hand, is widely known and recognised to be a confirmed African food, particularly from the West, also being referred to as bean-cake to the foreigners. It is made with love blending with culture, especially among the Yoruba people.
It is made from peeled beans mixed with pepper, salt, etc.
INGREDIENTS
Black-eyed peas
Onions
Pepper
Salt
Water
Oil.
PREPARATION
Peel the beans by soaking it, blend and batter it to keep it fluffy, add all the necessary ingredients, and fry it in the hot groundnut oil.
The combination of Agege bread and Akara reminds us that we don’t need much to survive and enjoy.
