Variety night: Queen Elizabeth II hall Hosts pageantry, cancels Block Party

The residents of Queen Elizabeth II Hall came together on the 6th of March 2025, for a night of entertainment as the hall hosted its Variety Night. The event showcased the talents of hostel residents in music, dance, and pageantry

A notable aspect of the night was the MISS QUEENS pageantry. Two residents namely; Ovai Mercy Reuben and Emegha Praise, contested for the pageantry. The two contestants displayed their talent in cultural, western among others. With the display of talent by the contestants, the judges evaluated them and announced the winner.

 The judges includes: Bouqiboosh bukky,Olabisipo jumoke and Nwaghodo Felix (Funkaa Stikx). Ovai Mercy Reuben emerged as the winner as she was given a flower and other gifts.

There was also a block party scheduled to hold as a part of the variety night. However, the party was cancelled. A Queenite was asked to share her thoughts about the canceled block party,

“ It's a joke they are never serious with anything in Queens hall, I am not expecting anything different from what they delivered yesterday especially with the cancellation of the Block party” She said.
