UI’SU Freshers' Week: Campaign Rally Against Cultism And Drug Abuse

 The Student Union on Monday, 8th July, 2024 organized a campus tour against cultism and drug abuse which is the first day of the one week program for freshers tagged 'Unleashing the Power of the Freshman Week’24’.  



The walk started at SUB car park in the evening with about 50 students including freshers and staylites holding placards with inscriptions which read ‘Say No to Cultism’, ‘Say No to Drug Abuse’. The Aluta Jet and  vehicles from sponsors were used to convey participants to every hall of residence starting from Awo, to Idia, Indy, Zik, Bello, Kuti, Queens, Mellanby and Tedder where the campaign was demonstrated. 

In every hall, the hype man accompanied with music attracted students to the awareness campaign with the aim to dissuade every form of cultism and indulgence to drug abuse. After visitation to every hall, the rally ended at the student union building car park where refreshment was given to the participants.
