QUEEN ELIZABETH II HALL HOLDS TOURNAMENT/SPORTS SESSION

 

 

In celebration of the freshers' welcome, on July 20, 2024, the Queen Elizabeth II Hall executives hosted sports activities at the Queen's Hall car park, including the Grace Ojo Ludo Tournament which was at the hall cafeteria, Queen Elizabeth II Hall,  UI. 

Although the activities were scheduled to start at 8:00 am, they began at 8:50 am. The instructor started the activities with stretching exercises, followed by aerobic dance. He concluded with a motto skills game, in which participants were divided into five sets.  According to the instructor, each set could pick one cone and steal another set's cone; the set with the lowest number of cones was eliminated. 

After the sports activities, the Grace Ojo Ludo Tournament began at 10:08 am with sixteen contestants divided into four groups. The Hall Chairperson delivered an opening speech, stating that, “the tournament aims to show that sports can be enjoyable and that ludo is a sport.” She announced the prizes for the top three winners: First prize - ₦25,000 with a certificate, Second prize - ₦15,000 with a certificate, and Third prize - ₦10,000 with a certificate, while other participants received certificates of participation. 


The Grace Ojo Ludo Tournament concluded at 12:16 pm, and the three winners were to be awarded during the orientation.
