Queen Elizabeth Holds Freshers' Orientation for Queenites

  

In a bid to welcome the freshers to the hall, and the university at large, Queen Elizabeth II Hall organized a Freshers' orientation on Saturday, 20th July, 2023 for her fresh residents.

The orientation commenced with a game session that aroused activeness among the freshers. After this, was the introduction of the executives to their respective positions.

 Dr. Abiola Omokhabi, the Hall Warden, and Mr. Olaniran, the Hall Supervisor graced the occasion with their presence. 

The Hall Warden addressed the freshers' reminding them of their primary assignment in the University. In her speech, she noted how the health of the students is her utmost priority. She also talked about the manner of dressing of Queenites. The rules and regulations of the hall were explained by the Hall Supervisor, Mr. Olaniran. He stated that those who broke the rules could face punishment, including eviction or fines, depending on the seriousness of the offence.

A brief health seminar was also conducted by, Akinyinka Rebecca, the hall health minister. Her talk was centred on a common infectious disease called UTI (Urinary Tract infection). She enlightened the freshers about the causes, symptoms and treatment of this infection.  Aanuoluwayimika Angel, the vice hall chair also created an awareness regarding the ongoing tutorials for the freshers and the nobel accountability forum. 

The event was brought to a close with the presentation of certificates and monetary awards for those who won the Ojo Grace Ludo Tournament earlier that morning. The winner of the tournament was given a certificate and a monetary award of twenty-five thousand naira, the second-place winner was given a certificate and a monetary award of fifteen thousand naira and the third-place winner was given a certificate and a monetary award of ten thousand naira. Participants were given refreshments in appreciation for attending the event.
