HELLO GLOBE HOLDS ITS MAIDEN BUSINESS CONFERENCE

The maiden edition of the Hello Globe conference was held on Saturday, July 6th, 2024, at the First Bank building, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ibadan. The event, scheduled to start at 10 a.m., began at 11:30 a.m..

Oluwaferanmi, a final-year law student at the University of Ibadan, organised the event.

The programme commenced with a session of games, followed by Salome Yadung, known as Sally, the billionaire realtor, who shared her story and advice with young adults seeking their paths. Sally added that two things are needed in your waiting season: the first is to be bold, and the second is to let opportunities meet you prepared.

 

Next at the event was a panel session that was moderated by Olakulehin and featured Salome Yadung and Samuel Adewuyi. They shared their advice, stories, and answered questions.

Bishop Shane, CEO of Emergence Conference, spoke on how giving gifts can open doors, quoting Proverbs 18:16. He also stressed that attendees "surround yourself with people who are good at what you are not good at". Omotayo Afolabi, CEO of Hay Properties, provided five individuals with the opportunity to meet mentors of their choice.

The convener's mother gave a speech emphasising that our only limits are in our minds and that the sky's the limit. Eight best-dressed individuals received free portraits.

The convener concluded with a vote of thanks, promising Hello Globe 2.0 in the future.
