Unlocking Pathways: Exploring Opportunities in the Tech Industry: A TechFinance event.

 On Tuesday, April 30th, 2024, Queen Elizabeth II Hall organized its Finance and Tech Summit at the Hall’s cafeteria, drawing more than 100 Queenites to the event. This summit, marking the third day of the hall week, aimed to enlighten Queenites on the intersection of finance and technology.

The event slated for 1:30 pm started with an opening speech by the hall chairperson, Dooshima Ande, urging Queenites to seize the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge in finance and technology. Emphasizing the importance of utilizing the resources and insights offered during the summit, the hall chairperson extended appreciation to the Finance Minister, Olatope Ilori, for her invaluable financial advice and contribution towards the event. Additionally, recognition was given to Miss Damilola Ogundare, the Social Minister, for her efforts in organizing the program.

The summit was honoured by the presence of Assistant Hall Wardens, Dr. Olawoyin and Dr. Adewumi. The tech lecture, themed "Unlocking Pathways: Exploring Opportunities in the Tech Industry," featured Mr. Femi Ayodeji, a seasoned software engineer, who shared his experiences and imparted insightful knowledge on venturing into the tech world. Queenites actively engaged by posing questions, which Mr. Ayodeji addressed comprehensively.

The climax of the event saw Miss Favour, a representative of Yellow Cowries, discussing the importance of PSI (Plan, Save, Invest) principles. Encouraging students to follow the path of financial prudence, she underscored the significance of planning, saving, and investing wisely. The summit concluded with interactive games and refreshments, fostering a sense of camaraderie among participants.
