QUEEN ELIZABETH II HALL PRESS HOLDS HANDOVER CEREMONY, APPOINTS NEW EDITORIAL BOARD.

On April 20, 2024, the editorial board of the 2023/2024 Editorial Year of the Queen Elizabeth II Hall Press handed over to a new set of editors. The program was held at the Junior Common Room of Queen Elizabeth II Hall.

The ceremony started with the press prayer which was led by Halimat Sunmonu, the former General Secretary and Lifestyle editor, of the press organization.

In attendance to represent the executive body was Dooshima Ande, the Chairperson of Queen Elizabeth II Hall. She gave a speech and acknowledged how the session as being a remarkable one and appreciated how everything had all ended on a good note.


The outgoing editor-in-chief, Bibisinuoluwa Agarah, delivered a welcome speech where she appreciated pressmen for their service, hard work, and support. She implored everyone to continue to keep the sisterhood and a burning passion for the Union.

 

Certificates were presented to all pressmen present and those who had shown outstanding service in the previous editorial year.


Victoria Ojolowo was appointed as the financial secretary,  Marvelous Joseph as the Manging editor, and Goodness Omodele as the General Secretary. The new Editorial Board includes; Funmilola Oludare as the Entertainment Editor, Favour Akinwale as the Lifestyle Editor, Favour Abraham as the Creative Desk Editor,   Halimat Sunmonu as the News Editor, Bibisinuoluwa Agarah as the Features Editor, Aishat Akano as the Opinion Editor and the  Deputy Editor-in-chief, Afolabi Simisola as the Politics editor and the  Editor-in-chief.

The ceremony ended with a closing remark by the new Editor-in-Chief.
