University of Ibadan Model United Nations Launches Recruitment Drive for Diverse Positions

 The University of Ibadan Model United Nations (IBMUN) has announced its recruitment for various positions within the organization. The deadline for applications was set for January 28, 2024.

In a flyer, a link was provided where interested students could check the job descriptions for each of the positions available. A link to the recruitment form was also provided. Applicants were required to submit their a resume among other things before submitting their application.

 The available positions include the Director of Communications, the Editor in Chief/Content Writer, the Assistant Directors for Sponsorship and Delegate Affairs, Deputy Directors for Corporate Affairs and Market, the Deputy Directors of Logistics (Welfare, Accommodation, Protocol and  Transportation).

 The organization was seeking applicants for  Video Producer/Editor, Editor-in-Chief/Content Writer, Graphics Designer, Content Creator, Social Media Manager, the Public Relations Manager.

Model United Nations is a simulation of the United Nations where participants role-play as delegates and engage in debate, negotiations and discussions that address global issues and that foster diplomacy.  The conferences follow formal procedures and mirror actual United Nations procedure and increase the understanding of international relations among delegates The experience helps to develop skills such as public speaking, negotiation, research and critical thinking.
