THE UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN STUDENT UNION HOLDS THREE-DAY BOOT CAMP

University of Ibadan Student Union executives (Team Rebirth) held a 3-day free boot camp training at UI SRC chamber located in the Student Union Building. The training began on the 19th of January 2024 and ended on the 21st of January 2024 at 4 pm. 

The boot camp training included training in several skills including graphic design, photography videography and social media Influencing. The training was announced on the 10th of January 2024 for those that will be in attendance to register for free and the registration closed on the 16th of January 2024. The registration was the access to be a participant in the training and also for accountability. 

Students were informed that it was an opportunity to learn skills without having to pay a dime. The only requirement was to register for the event ahead of time. The instructors for the program were all UI students. The instructors for the graphic design classes include Saltuns, BM Graphics, Divie Designs and Spanz Designs.  Fiyin Atinmo, the president of the faculty of hall chairpersons, The Eximius Nimi, Darey Visuals, Yemi King, John Ayomide, JAK Visuals, were the instructors for the photography class, and the social media influencing the instructors were 2tancos, Omoadesope, Oluwakunmi, Adeglossy, Active Don and OMA.

During the videography session, the participants were taught lighting techniques, camera basic ratios for video,  video editing, composition for motion, colour grading, camera movement and frame rates.
