NUTURING POSITIVE HEALTHY LIFESTYLE.

 Heading off for a new semester is a significant matter in an individual's life and Maintaining a positive healthy lifestyle is crucial. As we began to navigate a new semester full of events, occasion and lots of activities, it is important to make our well being for overall success and happiness a priority.



Below are some steps to achieving positive healthy lifestyle on campus

1. Balanced Nutrition

This is the Fundamental of healthy life style. A balanced diet helps to sustain focus and energy during study sessions. Avoidance of processed foods and junks should also be cultivated.

2. Time Management.

Developing effective time management skills by balancing academic responsibilities, social activities, personal time is essential to prevent burn out. Allocate time for self care,prioritise tasks and organize schedules.

3. Taking enough sleep.

School activities could jeopardize adequate sleep, forcing students to observe late night study sessions. The late night Study sessions,when done consistently compromise sleep quality. Establishing a consistent sleep schedule and creating a conducive sleep environment will improve academic performance and also effective in cognitive function.

4. Regular Exercise.

Encourage yourself even in the midst of demanding academic schedules and other extra-curricular activities to exercise. You could take a quick jog, a yoga session, hitting a gym, music therapy and other physical activities. All these prove beneficial for mental health and cognitive function. Make exercise a routine. It is important to not assume stress as exercise.

 


5.Hydration.

Staying hydrated should not be under emphasized and overlooked especially during this dry season. Get an eco-friendly water bottle and make a conscious effort to drink enough water throughout the day. Intensive hydration supports energy levels and overall well-being.

6. Stress Management.

Find inner balance. This involve mindfulness. Taking breaks, meditation, deep breathing exercises to manage stress.  Seek support and counselling from the right channel when needed. A balanced mind is key to navigating challenges effectively.

7. Social Connections.

Build a supportive network. School is not just about academics alone. Social connections plays a crucial role in mental health. Strong social associations can provide emotional support, reduce the feelings of loneliness and isolation and contribute positively to overall experience.
