THE QUEENS WELCOME FRESHERS- QUEEN ELIZABETH II HALL ORGANIZES ORIENTATION FOR ITS FRESHERS.

On
the 9th of September 2023, The Queen Elizabeth II Hall fresher's welcome tagged the Queen's Welcome held at the hall. The event was
slated to start a few minutes past noon and
featured exercise and an orientation ceremony paneled by the Hall Wardens, a
Queens Ultimate Search, and a
bonfire.
The
Hall Warden, Dr. Omokhabi, and three assistant hall wardens,
Dr. Nancy Woods, Dr.Ajiboye, and Dr. Folusho Bolaji Alabi were the main
speakers of the orientation. Dr. Folusho Bolaji Alabi talked about modest
dressing and how to keep yourself clean. She said, “At Queens, you are expected
to dress modestly”. She emphasized not spending above one's means to look good.
Dr.
Ajiboye handled the interactive session on health, morals,
and security. She advised the freshers to visit Jaja Avenue once there was a
medical issue while warning against self-prescription and medication.
In
addition to this, The Hall Warden, Dr. Abiola
Omokhabi made it clear that incomplete medical registration by any
Queenite would result in ejection from the hall. Dr. Nancy Woods took the
academic session and enlightened the freshers on how to calculate CGPA She
advised freshers not to indulge in TDB ( till daybreak) as it had negative
effects on their health.
The
Hall Chairperson stated that the Queen's welcome was the
first of its kind. At
the end of the ceremony, a new table tennis was launched and dedicated to the
hall. Later on in the evening, there was a
bonfire where Queenites danced and celebrated. The fresher who won the Ultimate
Search competition was crowned Miss. Fresher.
