TLDS UI Reschedules Timeline and fixes April 10 for the commencement of Jaw War 2023.

On Friday, March 10, 2023, the calendar for the 2023 Jaw War Inter-Faculty and Inter-Hall competition was reviewed by the Literary and Debating Society and the dates of the competition were adjusted.

The annual public speaking competition which was originally slated to begin in the final week of this month will now begin on 10th April 2023.

Neyen Williams, the President of TLDS revealed this development in a statement on Friday. 

Among other things, she stated that although the Literary and Debating society is well aware of the high spirit of speakers and members of the University, the change in the academic calendar influenced the change of date.

 She also stated that plans are being made to ensure this year's Jaw war, not only mirrors the 2021 Jaw war but meets expectations and provides a stage for the best speakers from Nigerian universities to discuss hot-button issues.

The rally for this year's Jaw war would take place on 6th April 2023 to prepare the University community for the start of the Jaw War while other plans to make this Jaw war like no other will soon be revealed.

Jaw War Rally starts on April 6.

The First Leg Hall Category starts on April 10.

First Round Faculty starts April 12.

The second Leg Hall Category starts on April 13.

Quarterfinals [Faculty] start April 19.

Quarterfinals (Halls) start April 20

Semifinals start April 28

Jaw War UI Finals, Jaw War National Competition, and Award Ceremony are all on May 5.
