University of Ibadan convocates 5,731 students.

The University of Ibadan began her convocation ceremony on 14, November 2022 – a combined celebration with her 74th founder’s day anniversary. The convocation lecture titled “Region Security, Counter-terrorism and Counter-insurgency in the Lake Chad basin: The role of the multi-national joint task force”, was delivered by General I.M Yusuf, a commandant at Nigerian Defence Academy. The 2019/2020 set has a total number of five thousand, seven hundred and thirty-one graduates (5,731); four thousand, nine hundred and twenty-six for the first-degree program (4,926) and eight hundred and five for the second-degree program (805).

Accordingly, two hundred and ninety-nine students (299) bagged first-class honours, one thousand, two hundred and twenty-nine (1,229) students finished on the second-class upper division, with two thousand, five hundred and ninety (2,590) students at the second class lower division and six hundred and thirty-eight students (638) in the third class category. Forty-four (44) students finished with a pass grade and one hundred and ninety-six students (196) fell under the unclassified category. 

The Faculty of Technology has the highest number of first-class students – 47 and in second place is the Faculty of Science with a total number of thirty-five (35) first-class students.
